خصوصية وشروط إضافة ذِكرى

In short

• Zekra is free, with no ads, no accounts and no sale of any data.
• Everything you type and choose (settings, to-dos, notes, shortcuts) stays in your browser.
• We do not collect your name, email, browsing history or the content of the pages you visit.

What stays on your device

• Settings, your city and coordinates, to-dos and notes, shortcuts and their pictures, favourite ayat and backgrounds, and your listening and wird progress are kept in the extension's storage inside your browser (chrome.storage.local) and never reach us.
• Bookmarks, history and installed extensions are shown to you inside the extension only when you open their panels; they are not sent anywhere, and their icons come from the browser itself.
• If you turn on Sync, a copy of your settings, to-dos and notes is stored in your own browser account's sync storage (Google or Microsoft). It does not pass through our servers.

What we receive

• An anonymous daily count (Chrome and Edge; the Firefox version sends none): once a day the extension sends its version number, the browser family (Chrome or Edge) and the names of the features switched on (for example: prayer times, to-dos). It carries no identifier for you or your device.
• Our server adds the country as reported by Cloudflare from the connection; IP addresses are not stored. Only daily totals are kept (users per day, countries, versions).
• You can turn the daily count off in Settings → «إدارة البيانات» (data) → «إرسال إحصاءات مجهولة» (send anonymous statistics).
• When the extension is removed, the browser opens a page asking why. Answering is optional; anything you write there (and a contact, if you leave one) goes to our feedback inbox only.

Services the extension contacts directly

• Open-Meteo: the coordinates of the place you chose, for the weather and its time zone.
• OpenStreetMap (Nominatim): the text you type in «ابحث بالعنوان» (search by address) and the area around your current city, to rank nearby results first; only when you search.
• Google's icon service (t1.gstatic.com): only the site name of your shortcuts (for example youtube.com) to show its icon, never the page path or anything in it.
• The search box in Chrome: what you type goes to the search engine you chose in the browser's own settings (through the browser), only when you search; the extension does not pick or change the search engine.
• The search box in Edge and Firefox: what you type goes to the engine you pick in the extension (Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo or another) when you search; the browser's own search engine is not changed. If you turn on «اقتراحات أثناء الكتابة» (suggestions), what you type is sent to Google's suggestion service as you type.
• quran.com (static.qurancdn.com) for the mushaf page fonts; mp3quran.net, everyayah.com and the radio stations for audio; Wikimedia Commons for background photos; the Zekra website for the title of the surah being broadcast.
• Like any request on the internet, these services see your connection's IP address and are governed by their own privacy policies.

Permissions

• The extension works with its core permissions: storage, alarms, notifications, background audio playback, site icons from the browser (Chrome and Edge), and search with the browser's own search engine (Chrome).
• It does not ask for access to the websites you visit and never reads the content of any page.
• Optional permissions (top sites, bookmarks, history, extension management, location, and search suggestions in Edge and Firefox) are requested only when you use the feature that needs them, and can be revoked in the browser's settings.

What we never do

• We do not sell or transfer user data to third parties.
• We do not use or transfer user data for advertising, profiling or any purpose unrelated to the extension's single purpose.
• We do not use or transfer user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending.
• The extension does not run any code from outside its package.

Deleting your data

• Removing the extension deletes its data from this browser. Before that you can export what you want to a file from Settings → «إدارة البيانات».
• The daily totals carry nothing that links them to you, so they cannot be tied to, or deleted for, a particular person.

Terms of use

• The extension is free and provided as is; we work to keep it correct but give no warranty.
• Prayer times are astronomical calculations by the method you choose; check them against your mosque and adjust them by minutes when needed.
• Quran, azkar and tafsir texts come from the verified sources listed on the About page; recitations, radio streams and photos belong to their owners.
• We may update the extension and this page; the date of the last change is shown at the top.
